Reverend Tom Amenkhienan’s words rang across the Liberation stadium “ the words you hear tonight would elevate you, the words you hear tonight would catapult you, the words you hear tonight would transport you to the next and higher level of your life. That is why it is called the higher life conference�.

True to his words, when the Port Harcourt Higher Life conference with the man of God started, it lived up to the billing. Monday, February 2nd, 2009, first day of the conference kicked off with power.

Reverend Chris Oyakhilome, the man sent to us from God stepped into the already packed out arena gracefully amidst cheers and shouts of joy, the eager audience could not wait to receive what the teaching prophet had to give to them.

But these are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God and that believing ye might have life through his name. With these verses of the bible taken from the book of John 20: 30, Pastor Chris gave us a sneak preview as to what to expect during the Higher Life conference.

This life he said is not the kind of life that raises people from the dead but a different kind of life. Because many do not know this kind of life, it accounts for disease, sickness, and slowness in life. He went further to explain that God has called us to live a life of absolute success, absolute victory, the life that goes upward and forward only.

Tonight’s meeting, even though brief left the audience with an insatiable desire for more of God’s word, ready to Lambano the precious words the man of God has to share with us throughout the conference.

Just before the meeting came to a close, Pastor Chris prayed for the audience, uttering eternal blessings and heaven’s favor upon them. Shouts of amen rent the overflowing Liberation stadium in response to the prophetic utterances that after the conference, a new mindset would be birthed in all; a new way of thinking will emerge, from the lives of everyone present would greatness arise and the strife and troubles experienced in Port Harcourt would come to an end.

This beginning of glory marked out the first day of the Port Harcourt Higher life conference however even much more glory shall be experienced throughout the remaining days ahead. No doubt for Port Harcourt and its inhabitants, the word of God has come to them for such a time as this and after this conference, the oil rich city shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters covers the sea.
